Call for Artists – Newark Liberty Airport Digital Art Exhibition: The Art of NJ 2024

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts has issued a call for artists for the annual exhibition The Art of New Jersey 2024. The Art of New Jersey digital exhibition is part of a large-scale public art project at Newark Liberty Airport’s Terminal A. The overall goal of the project is to highlight the various talents, opportunities, and cultures of New Jersey. The next installment of the annual exhibition will feature artwork that will be displayed on the digital banner spanning the departure area of Terminal A and will be unveiled in early 2024.

The PANYNJ Art Advisor Council will review submissions received and will select approximately twenty artists’ works to be included in the exhibition. They are seeking completed 2-dimensional, still artworks in a digital format for digital display. When applying, artists should submit three examples of completed work to be considered for use. Each selected artist will receive a $1,000 stipend in exchange for their work and will retain copyright to their art.

The deadline for submission is September 12, 2023. Artists will receive notifications no later than December 20, 2023. All questions regarding this opportunity should be directed to Danielle Bursk, Director of Artist Services, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Danielle.bursk@sos.nj.gov, or Stephanie Nerbak, Artist Services Associate, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Stephanie.Nerbak@sos.nj.gov
