NJ Historic Trust and NJ State Council on the Arts Announce FY23 Recipients of the Capital Arts – Historic Locations Grant Program

In June, the New Jersey Historic Trust (NJHT) and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts announced in a press release the FY23 Capital Arts – Historic Locations grant award recipients. According to the NJHT, this grant opportunity prioritized project proposals that will be used to halt and remediate the physical deterioration of historic locations. 13 grants were awarded that totaled $2.6 million, with a maximum award of $250,000.

The FY23 Capital Arts – Historic Locations Grant Program is presented through a partnership between the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the New Jersey Historic Trust. Grant dollars are distributed from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts FY23 budget. The program is evaluated and managed by the New Jersey Historic Trust.

Grant recipients include Perkins Center for the Arts of Burlington County, Montclair Art Museum of Essex County, the Newark Museum Association of Essex County, and the Ocean Grove Historic Preservation Society/ Jersey Shore Arts Center of Monmouth County.
