University of Pennsylvania Director of Libraries to Retire

Carton Rogers, who has been with Penn Libraries since 1975, is retiring. He leaves behind a legacy of transformation and modernization at the libraries.

Carton Rogers, Vice Prevost and Director of Libraries for the University of Pennsylvania, has announced that he will retire at the end of the year. Rogers first began work at Penn Libraries in 1975 and held various positions including director of information processing, when he led an initiative to digitize some of the library’s vast resources.
