The Society of Early Americanists is inviting proposals for its conference, “Triumph in my Song’: 18th & 19th Century African American Culture, History and Performance.” This multi-disciplinary conference will focus on themes of performance, history, the construction of memory, culture and interpretation. The deadline for proposals is September 15, 2011.
