Traveling Exhibit, “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America,” To Arrive in New Jersey in April

The New Jersey Council for the Humanities announced that a traveling exhibit, “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America,” will open at Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) in Mount Laurel on April 5, 2022. The exhibit highlights civic engagement and participation in our democracy.

“Voices and Votes: Democracy in America” is part of the Museum on Main Street (MoMS) initiative and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) program. The exhibit features items such as historical and contemporary photos, multimedia interactives, historical objects, and more that will tell the story of American democracy. It is based on a major exhibition at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History titled “American Democracy: A Great Leap of Faith.”

The New Jersey Council for the Humanities will host an opening reception at RCBC on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 5 p.m. To register for the event, click here. “Voices and Votes” will travel to six locations in New Jersey between April 2022 and January 2023.
