Register Now for MAAM's 2012 Annual Meeting, October 7-9

From the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums:

Registration is now open for the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums’ 2012 Building Audiences, Visitor Engagement: A Foundation for our Future.  The annual meeting will be held October 7-9, 2012, in Tarrytown, New York, just 23 miles north of New York City.  In addition to being an arena for the exchange of ideas and best practices, Building Audiences provides members with the opportunity to meet one another and build their professional network, while touring world-class museums in the region.

MAAM is also accepting nominations for the Katherine Coffey Award, which is awarded to an outstanding museum professional in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Nominees should have worked as a paid museum professional for at least 10 years in a principal position.  The nominee should also have been employed in the Mid-Atlantic region during the period of principal contribution for which the award is being given.  The deadline for nomination has been extended to September 1, 2012.

The Greater Hudson Heritage Network (GHHN) is organizing an exhibit hall during the conference at the Double Tree Hotel.  Exhibit registration is available here.
