In November 2011, PHC’s board elected new chair, Nancy Eaton. Nancy’s leadership at library systems across the country has been noteworthy and far-reaching. She is Dean Emeritus of University Libraries and Scholarly Communications at Penn State and has held positions at libraries in Iowa, Vermont, Georgia, New York and Texas. A dedicated volunteer, Nancy also has served on numerous professional boards including Online Computer Library Center, the Association of Research Libraries and the Digital Library Federation. PHC is delighted to have Nancy serve in this new role.
The PHC interviewed Nancy Eaton about Executive Director Joe Kelly’s long service to the Council, Laurie Zierer’s role as Interim Director, and her plans for the future of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council.
