The Executive Director of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities will be stepping down from her position in June, 2018. Briann Greenfield has served on the council since 2014, and helped organize the first Telling Untold Histories Un-Conference during her tenure. The agenda-less conference was a collaboration between the NJCH, MARCH, the Alice Paul Institute, the New Jersey State Museum, and other public history organizations in the state, has become an annual event. She is known particularly for her state- and federal-level advocacy for public history, and for facilitating the council’s growth over the last four years. Greenfield will be returning to her native New England to take a position as Executive Director of the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
