NJ Council for the Humanities Announces Interim Director

David Miller will take the position, which was left vacant when Briann Greenfield stepped down to become the Executive Director of the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center in Hartford Connecticut.

The New Jersey Council for the Humanities has announced a new Interim Director. David Miller will take the position, which was left vacant when Briann Greenfield stepped down to become the Executive Director of the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center in Hartford Connecticut. Miller hopes to continue Greenfield’s popular and successful programs during the transitional period.

Miller has an extensive background in non-profit arts and cultural organizations. He began his career working with the Burlington County Cultural Heritage Foundation, and later served as the Executive Director of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. He was named the Executive Director of the Foundation for the New Jersey Public Broadcasting in 2007. He held a position as Executive Director and CEO of the Grounds For Sculpture park and museum in Hamilton, NJ. He has worked as an independent consultant for arts and cultural foundations.

Application reviews for the position will begin on July 1.
