The New Jersey Historical Trust is seeking proposals from a consultant team to develop theme-based content for a website to support heritage tourism development and promotion for the FIRST of six identified themes: New Jersey in Conflict.

Developed in 2010, the Heritage Tourism Master Plan for the state of New Jersey was created to guide the development, marketing, and promotion for heritage tourism statewide.

The historical narrative of the plan – The Contours of New Jersey History: An Essay on Context for the Heritage Tourism Master Plan – identifies six major themes to organize tourism efforts. The themes are to be used in historic site interpretation, heritage education curriculum , and tourism promotion.

The six themes are:

New Jersey in Conflict

New Jersey at Work

New Jersey Land and Sea

New Jersey at Play

Many Faces of New Jersey

New Jersey by Design

The New Jersey Historical trust is seeking bids for theme-based content for the New Jersey in Conflict theme. The theme is loosely described in the Master Plan(PDF) as “New Jersey’s pivotal role in the Revolutionary War began a military tradition that continues today.”

The deadline for all proposals and paperwork is  January 29, 2015 (by 4:00 p.m.).

All bid submissions must include completed mandatory compliance forms.
