The New Jersey Council for the Humanities (NJCH) invites nominations for the Stanley N. Katz Prize for Excellence in Public Humanities.
The Katz Prize was inaugurated in 2022 and is named for Stanley N. Katz, Ph.D., former NJCH board chair and esteemed faculty member of Princeton University. Katz has been a champion for the public humanities throughout his career. The prize is awarded annually to an organization for a recent project that has demonstrated significant engagement with and impact through community-focused public humanities work in New Jersey.
From the NJCH: Eligibility for nominations:
- Organizations must have completed the nominated project between 2018 and 2023 (within the last five years).
- Organizations must be a New Jersey-based nonprofit organization or government entity.
Applications for the 2023 award must be received by September 1, 2023.
