The National Endowment for the Humanities has announced a new grant program aimed at developing and sustaining humanities infrastructure. The Infrastructure and Capacity-Building Challenge Grant program will award matching grants to museums, libraries, archives, historical sites, and other institutions in the humanities, helping them with the necessary finances to build capacity and infrastructure and to sustain themselves. Grants may be used to purchase equipment, document lost cultural heritage, build or renovate structures, sustain digital humanities projects, and to preserve and conserve humanities collections. The deadline for proposals is March 15, 2018. See the NEH’s press release for more information on the program and submission instructions.
