Monmouth County Historical Commission Announces Two Grant Programs

Do you work with a historical site in Monmouth County, New Jersey looking for funds to weather the COVID-19 pandemic? The Monmouth County Historical Commission recently released the application for two grant programs dedicated to funding local history.

The Commission’s 2021 Regrant Program is offering two kinds of grants. The General Operating Support grant provides funding to cover overall functioning costs and yearly operations. The Special Projects grant supports public facing projects and programs. Non-profit organizations based in Monmouth County are eligible to apply for both grants. General Operating Support grants are only available to organizations exclusively dedicated to history, while other types of non-profit organizations will be considered for Special Projects grants.

Applicants must declare intent to apply by October 2, and completed applications are due October 30. The Commission will be holding a virtual workshop to explain the application process on Monday, September 14 at 7 pm. Individuals interested in participating in the workshop should email Executive Director John Fabiano at john.fabiano@co.monmouth.nj.us to register.
