A collection of graphic images of the evolving cityscape of the nation’s capital, acquired since the 1920s by journalist W. M. Kiplinger and his descendants, will have a new home at the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. The Kiplinger Washington Collection includes more than 4,000 prints, photographs, painting and other items documenting Washington from its founding in 1791 through the mid-nineteenth century.
