GCLS in NJ Gives Patrons Free Passes to Area Museums

The Gloucester County Library System (GCLS) now offers passes for several area museums that may be borrowed by adult GCLS cardholders.

Are you looking for something to do with your family during the dog days of summer? Do you like things that are free? Don’t feel like filling up your tank and traveling to the shore points? Then the Gloucester County Library System has the solution for you.

The Gloucester County Library System (GCLS) now offers passes for several area museums that may be borrowed by adult GCLS cardholders.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said that passes are available at GCLS libraries in Mullica Hill, Glassboro, Greenwich Township, Logan Townshi, and Swedesboro.

“It could cost upward of $50 for a family of four to gain admission to some of the museums the library is offering its patrons passes to borrow,” Damminger said. “This is a great way for library cardholders to visit many regional attractions and experience history and art without breaking their budget.”

Freeholder Lyman Barnes stated, “We are privileged to live in a region rich with history and culture and these free passes will allow our library patrons the opportunity to check out museums that they might not have otherwise considered.”

Barnes, liaison to the Gloucester County Library System credited the museum passes to a generous donation made by the Friends of GCLS, a private nonprofit organization of volunteers who support special library projects and programs.
