From H-Pennsylvania:
The Pennsylvania Historical Association invites proposals for its 2013 Annual Meeting in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Hosted by Gettysburg College, the PHA will convene October 17-19, 2013, at the Wyndham Gettysburg. As the 2013 meeting in Gettysburg coincides with the sesquicentennial of the Civil War’s best-known battle, the committee will be especially interested in proposals that examine any dimension of Pennsylvania’s experience with the Civil War, including sectionalism, national reconstruction, or developments after the war related to memory or veterans’ affairs. The program committee also welcomes proposals that address history and culture in Pennsylvania and the broader Mid-Atlantic region in general. While the committee encourages full session proposals, it also welcomes proposals for individual papers and proposals from undergraduate and graduate students for a poster session.
Proposals must be submitted electronically by February 22, 2013 to the websitelisted below. Please consult this website for additional submission information. All participants must be members of the Pennsylvania Historical Association at the time of the meeting.
