The New Jersey Historic Trust is accepting proposals for posters for their annual New Jersey History and Historic Preservation Conference: Fun and Fury! Submissions for poster proposals will be accepted until Thursday, February 2, 2023. The conference will take place at Stockton University-Atlantic City on June 12 and 13, 2023.
From the New Jersey Historic Trust: The New Jersey History and Historic Preservation Conference is an annual state-wide educational and networking opportunity for history and historic preservation professionals and volunteers in the fields of architecture, planning, heritage site, and museum management, public history, archaeology, municipal preservation commissions, county heritage offices, developers, students, and more.
The poster session is an opportunity for undergrads, grad students, and young professionals to present their research projects on various topics such as historic preservation and climate change, the role of preservation in tourism, etc. A $250 prize will be awarded to the first-place winner, and $100 will be awarded to the second-place winner thanks to a generous donation from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. All scholars whose posters are selected for display will receive complimentary registration to the conference.
