The Brooklyn Museum will open a new exhibit on the life of musician David Bowie. Organized by the Victoria & Albert museum of London, David Bowie Is will feature 400 personal items, including sixty costumes, hand-written lyrics, and the artist’s oil paintings. Video installations will highlight Bowie’s music videos and television appearances, and a custom soundtrack was created for the exhibit by long-term collaborator Tony Visconti. It will open March 2 in the Morris A. and Meyer Shapiro Wing and will remain on display until July 15, 2018. Advance ticket purchases are strongly recommended. Visit the museum’s website for more details and to purchase tickets.
