Blue Star Museums Honor Military Families

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, from Memorial Day, May 25, 2015 through Labor Day, September 7, 2015.

Some museums in Delaware include New Castle Court House Museum, The Old State House, and Johnson Victrola Museum. For a full list of participating Delaware museums, click here.

Washington D.C. museums include National Museum of the United States Navy, The Kreeger Museum, and National Museum of American History . For a full list of D.C. museums, click here.

Maryland museums include Historic Annapolis, Sandy Spring Museum, and Montgomery County Historical Society. For a full list of Maryland museums, click here.

Some New Jersey museums will include the World War II Lookout Tower, Alice Paul Institute, and the Historical Society of Princeton. For a full list of New Jersey museums, click here.

New York museums participating include USS Slater–Destroyer Escort Historical Museum, Lewiston Museum, and The Morgan Library and Museum. For a complete list of New York museums, click here.

This is a great initiative that communicates the appreciation the museum culture has for active military personnel.
