The seminar will take place at Kean University, Union, N.J. on April 19-20, 2018 and the theme will be “Justice After Atrocity?”
The complex in Washington, DC will remain open for the weekend of January 20-21 even if Congress fails to reach a budget decision.
Graphic Medicine: Ill-Conceived and Well-Drawn! will examine personal illness narratives in comics and graphic novels.
The Infrastructure and Capacity-Building Challenge Grant program will award matching grants to museums, libraries, archives, historical sites, and other institutions in the humanities.
The guns were stored outdoors in a Norfolk Naval Shipyard annex for sixty-four years. They will be returned to the Battleship museum and other significant sites.
The partnership will begin in Spring 2018 and seeks to identify, develop, and finance the works collaboratively.
The event is part of the Freedmen’s Bureau Transcription Project, which has transcribed some two million digitized, handwritten documents.
Papers may address any aspect of Pennsylvania or Mid-Atlantic history. Proposals for student research posters are also welcomed.
The awards were granted to projects that digitized unique collections of high scholarly value.
