41st Annual Conference on DC Historical Studies Seeks Volunteers

The planning committee for the 41st Annual Conference on DC Historical Studies has issued a call for volunteers for the upcoming event. Volunteers are needed for a number of duties.

The planning committee for the 41st Annual Conference on DC Historical Studies has issued a call for volunteers for the conference (November 20-23, 2014).  Volunteers are needed for a number of duties:

Prepare conference packets and badges
Register attendees and distribute packets
Host presenters, direct attendees
Staff “Green Room” and Press Table
Distribute and collect evaluation forms and any handouts
Moderate Sessions
Assist and time presenters, assure room is prepared
Work AVs, responsible for assuring speakers have equipment and that they leave it there
Support tour guides (except Sunday)
Man the “Movie Room”
Attend one of two one-hour orientation sessions.

In return for four hours (or three sessions) of work, volunteers receive free conference registration.
