From PA Museums:
Held annually in conjunction with national Archives Month (October) activities, this statewide educational program features sessions on current archival and records management topics and seeks to address issues relevant to the challenges posed by today’s rapidly expanding world of records and information management. This year’s seminar will be held Monday, October 7, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The program is open to the general public and is attended by records managers, archivists, librarians, information technology managers, and administrators representing federal, state, county, and municipal governments, historical societies, museums, colleges, and school districts.
Planned topics include: moving image preservation; records management best practices and records schedule trends; records management case studies; More Product Less Process case studies; archives and social media; and a full-day session devoted to electronic records. Terry Mutchler, Executive Director of the Office of Open Records, will be the plenary speaker. Luncheon speakers are to be announced.
Coffee, boxed lunch, and light refreshments are included in the $10 registration.
